Habersham Rapids Swim Team has been around for about 38 years. It began as a summer swim team that practiced at the old Cornelia swimming pool. Some of the parents from HRST played and important role in the building of the Ruby C. Fulbright Aquatic Center that Habersham Rapids are proud to call home. During this time the Habersahm Rapids became a year-round swim team.

The head coach for the Habersham Rapids is Anthony Rabern. He has been coaching the HRST for 15 years. At the present time he holds ASCA level 3 certification (top 15% of coaches in the nation, www.swimmingcoach.org). He is also a USA Swimming certified coach (www.usaswimming.org). Coach Anthony attends swim clinics to stay on top of the best teaching tools for our team.  Assistant Coach Susan Nichols assists Coach Rabern in training the newest swimmers at HRST.
